In addition to my own original flash series
"The Hive", I'm working on a collaboration with another author name Jasper-Xale on newgrounds called "Xenorealms". It's a massive multi-gaming character crossover that incorporates characters from the mega man universe (Varies), sonic universe (Archie and Fleetway included) along with various obscure video game characters. The story takes place on the world of Terra and focuses on a alternate older version of Rock Volnutt from Mega Man Legends as he serves as a maverick hunter along with his Sister Roll. Rock begins to doubt his abilities and wonders if he'll ever be given important assignments like his mentor Zero (MMZ Version). However, his world is suddenly turned upside down when an unknown maverick army invades his world and is led by a powerful maverick named Metal man (Exe.version) who's orders are to retrieve a strange red emerald with unknown properties. As the story progresses, Rock soon discovers that the one behind Metal man's actions is none other than the legendary madman scientist "Dr. Albert W. Wily" who was thought to have perished four years ago in his own world .

It was originally supposed to be a sprite series but then we realized how tedious sprite edits were plus the different sizes of the sprites which made everything look like a M.u.g.e.n game (Messy and unbalanced). We then ditched the sprite idea. I then suggested to Xale to create our own sprites of these characters especially when I saw rtil's 'Move your feet' video using the pixel tool he mentioned in his comments...with disastrous results. Finally, we decided to make it an animated series after months of trial and error. When do we expect to finish it? Hopefully soon.

What we wanted to do different with this series is to give them an 'ultimate Marvel' kind of feel; to create a fan-story like no other. For example, the chaos emeralds in this story work like a dumb-down version of the infinity gems from Marvel with different properties from it's original source. In terms of the feel of the series, we want it come off story-driven like Justice League Unlimited and Reboot with the style of Final Fantasy VII: advent children.

*Note* Before any questions are asked regarding the name, Xenorealms is "Not" related to Xenogears or Xenosaga. I just liked the name since it emphasizes the idea of strange multiple universes.
